Quick drive this morning out to Canmore and Spray Lakes. Still mostly ice covered except for goat pond giving up a few nice reflections of the mountains behind.

A truly romantic scene: the planet Venus and the moon setting right above the San Juan river, along the road to the Monument Valley. Wonder, awe and sighs of joy.

La Mezquita Nueva by Pilar Azaña on Flickr.Via Flickr:♫♥♥♫
In Istanbul and in other cities the silhouettes of mosques rise above other buildings that exceed in size the uniqueness of their shapes make them attractive to any look. Reportedly, only in Istanbul there are over 100 mosques
New Mosque is opposite the Galata Bridge in Eminonu station and next to the Grand Bazaar from the back and Spice Bazaar. It has 2 domes and minarets and 63 semibóvedas a pyramidal structure.
Construction began on behalf of Safiye, mother of Mehmet III in 1597 and was completed and inaugurated in 1633.
Like any mosque you have to go barefoot and women covered with a handkerchief head and shoulders.
One of the most popular mosques for the faithful and it is interesting to see how from the minaret call to prayer several times a day through songs and prayers.
At night it is one of the mosques better lit and more colorful. (This photo I made from the boat in motion, without a tripod and being already quite at night, so I wait forgive the possible mistakes)

Spring Green by John Cothron on Flickr.Via Flickr:
Until last year, Hemlock Falls were simply known as Waterfall #2, one of the two prominent waterfalls in Cloudland Canyon State Park. A contest was held in 2011 to name both falls.
Cloudland Canyon is located in northwest Georgia near the town of Trenton. On top of Lookout Mountain, the canyon was formed by Daniel and Bear Creek which cut gorges through the rock before joining to become Sitton Gulch Creek. Both falls are located on Daniel Creek.
The canyon itself is more than 1000 feet deep, and to reach the falls you will get to experience every one of them. The two mile Waterfalls Trail is at approximately 40 degree angle and mostly composed of stair cases.
This is a comp from the other side of the falls. I wanted to catch some of the early morning light hitting the trees above as well as some of the fern on the left bank.
